Why you have to use neutral tone words
When you realize that your script is going to be performed by actors with just their voices .you are trying so hard to do your best when you select the words of the script so carefully.
Because all you are going to count on are their voices! No facial expressions, body languages or gestures. Only vocal messages so make sure that every single word is on the right place and makes the audience get the meaning without any complication or confusion.
But as we have mentioned in the intro that All pieces of writing, even letters, narrations in the news and official documents, have a tone. However, every tone of words got its importance and usage whether the positive, negative or even the neutral one.
So you have got to use neutral tone words once and while to reach to the right meaning of the word with neutral emotions.
Maybe someone can figure out from its name that neutral tone words only used when the actor says some lines that don’t represent happiness or sadness .but actually, that’s not completely true, this tone of words has specific uses.. human himself some times gets so bored. between sadness and happiness. He is on a neutral mood…that’s for example when we can use this tone, also we can use it to express the following emotions
Apprehensive, Desirable, comfortable, direct, honest, unfeeling, distant, Confused, Impartial, unbiased, neutral, objective, Restrained, quiet, unemotional modest self-effacing, restrained, uncomfortable, edgy nervous and many other feelings and emotions.
Difference between tone and mood
A lot of people getting confused between mood and tone, but actually mood comes always as a result of writer and actors tones delivering the right emotions, and how they can create an environment or atmosphere by actors’ voices using the writer’s words. That’s how they can easily put the audience in the mood.
The mood is how the audience explicates the author’s tone during the whole story or script.

Is the right tone the writer or actor’s responsibility?
In fact, they are both in charge of delivering in in the right way .if the writer of the script is the same one who is going to perform it that’s fine, but if they are two persons they have got to make their own chemistry and talk about all the points and make it clear
